Handyperson

Stamford Plaza Melbourne is a five star luxury hotel located at the 'Paris end' of Little Collins Street in the heart of the shopping & theatre district and we are now seeking an enthusiastic and driven Handyperson to join our growing team.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Responsible for completing maintenance, repairs and painting tasks as directed by Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer.
• Working within a supportive team to complete tasks to standard.
• Ensure at all times, jobs are completed with minimum disturbance to guests & patrons of the hotel.
• Efficiently completing tasks within agreed timeframes
• Any other duties as requested by the Assistant Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer.
• Completing other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer.
• Completing all tasks within health and safety guidelines for staff and guests

The ideal candidate will be: 

• Trade qualification preferred but not essential
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities with a flexible & adaptable approach
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• An eye for detail and takes care and pride in their work
• Good customer service skills
• Shares a passion for the hotel and hospitality industry
