About the role

Reporting to the Area Director of Sales and the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for bringing the Stamford Grand Adelaide brand to life through creative, engaging and commercially focused marketing initiatives. This role plays a key part in driving brand awareness, increasing revenue and enhancing the guest experience across all areas of the hotel.

 

Working collaboratively with the Sales, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Events, Kitchen and Executive teams, you will plan, develop and execute marketing campaigns that promote accommodation, Grand Bar, The Promenade Restaurant, conferences and events, weddings, special promotions and seasonal activations.

 

This is a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same. One day you may be capturing content from a wedding overlooking Glenelg Beach, the next you could be launching a new dining promotion, coordinating a photoshoot, writing website content, designing digital collateral or managing a social media campaign.

 

You will be responsible for developing engaging content across multiple platforms, including social media, email marketing, websites and digital advertising, ensuring all communications align with Stamford's premium brand standards. You'll also work closely with external agencies, photographers, media partners and suppliers to deliver high-quality campaigns that showcase everything Stamford Grand Adelaide has to offer.

 

A key part of the role is analysing campaign performance and identifying opportunities to increase engagement, website traffic, bookings and revenue. You will monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging digital marketing opportunities to ensure the hotel remains competitive within the Adelaide hospitality market.

 

The successful candidate will combine creativity with strong commercial awareness, understanding how effective marketing contributes to business growth. You'll be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, building strong relationships with stakeholders across the hotel, and confidently taking ownership of campaigns from concept through to execution and evaluation.

 Key Responsibilities

As Marketing Executive you will:

  • Develop and execute creative marketing campaigns supporting accommodation, conferences & events and food & beverage outlets.
  • Create engaging content across digital, social media, website, EDM and print platforms.
  • Capture photography and video content throughout the hotel to showcase guest experiences, events and promotions.
  • Coordinate promotional campaigns, seasonal activations and property-led concepts that drive engagement and revenue.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing initiatives support operational priorities.
  • Manage and maintain digital platforms including social media, Eventbrite, MyGuestList, ResDiary, Revinate and other marketing systems.
  • Coordinate menus, conference collateral, promotional flyers, digital assets and campaign materials.
  • Work collaboratively with external designers, agencies and suppliers where required.
  • Research market trends, competitor activity and local events to identify new business opportunities.
  • Analyse campaign performance, website traffic, social media engagement and return on investment.
  • Prepare monthly marketing reports and provide insights to support commercial decision-making.
  • Ensure all communications align with Stamford brand standards and the hotel's positioning.

 

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar marketing role, preferably within hospitality, tourism or hotels.
  • Exceptional written communication and copywriting skills.
  • Strong content creation skills including photography, video and storytelling.
  • Experience using social media platforms, digital marketing tools and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of creative design software, AI content tools and video editing platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A commercial mindset with an understanding of how marketing contributes to revenue growth.
  • The flexibility to occasionally work outside normal business hours to support hotel events and activations.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
