About the role
Reporting to the F&B Manager and Outlet Managers, you will play a key role in the daily operation of Grand Bar and other F&B outlets throughout the hotel.
As a F&B Supervisor, you will assist in leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional service while ensuring operational standards, compliance requirements, and guest expectations are consistently met.
You will be a hands-on leader who leads by example, supports team development, and creates a positive and engaging atmosphere for both guests and employees.
Working closely with the Kitchen, Events, Front Office, and wider F&B teams, you will help ensure seamless service delivery while maintaining high standards of presentation, service, and operational efficiency.
This role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their leadership skills within a premium hotel environment while working across a variety of F&B operations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Assist in leading, coaching, and developing F&B team members.
- Support the onboarding and training of new employees.
- Lead shifts and provide direction to team members during service.
- Foster a positive, professional, and guest-focused team culture.
- Assist with employee performance, coaching, and development.
Operations Management
- Support the day-to-day operation of Grand Bar and F&B outlets.
- Deliver exceptional beverage and food service standards.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure venue presentation, cleanliness, and atmosphere meet Stamford standards.
- Respond to guest enquiries, requests, and feedback in a professional manner.
- Assist in coordinating smooth service during busy periods, functions, and events.
Beverage Operations
- Prepare and serve beverages, cocktails, wine, beer, and premium spirits to a high standard.
- Maintain strong product knowledge and provide recommendations to guests.
- Support stock control, ordering, stocktakes, and inventory management.
- Monitor beverage quality and presentation standards.
- Assist with beverage promotions and revenue-generating initiatives.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements.
- Maintain compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety standards.
- Follow cash handling and stock control procedures.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Guest Experience
- Create a welcoming and engaging environment for guests.
- Build positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Consistently deliver service that exceeds guest expectations.
About You:
You are a passionate hospitality professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
You will bring:
- Previous experience as a F&B Supervisor, Bar Supervisor, Senior Bartender, or similar leadership role.
- Strong bar experience with knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and premium spirits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A hands-on leadership style and positive attitude.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Knowledge of liquor licensing requirements and hospitality compliance standards.
- Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Full and unrestricted Australian working rights.
