About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, will play a key role in the daily leadership and operational success of the hotel’s Food & Beverage operations.
This position is responsible for overseeing service delivery across restaurant, bar, conferencing, in room dining operations while ensuring exceptional guest experiences are consistently achieved.
The role is highly operational and hands on, requiring the successful candidate to lead from the floor, support team development, resolve guest concerns professionally, and ensure the department operates efficiently while maintaining Stamford brand standards.
In addition to operational leadership, the role also includes a strong administrative and organisational component.
You will assist with a variety of administration-related duties including:
- Rostering and timesheet support and labour monitoring
- Preparing shift reports and operational handovers
- Assisting with stocktake and inventory reporting
- Monitoring and maintaining departmental records and compliance documentation
- Coordinating training records and onboarding documentation
- Assisting with ordering, supplier communication, and invoice follow up
- Reviewing guest feedback and assisting with service recovery follow up
- Supporting event preparation and operational administration
- Assisting management with departmental projects, audits, and reporting requirements
This role will provide exposure to both operational and administrative management within a fast paced hotel environment and is ideal for someone looking to further develop their hospitality leadership and business management skills.
You will work closely with multiple departments across the hotel, to ensure seamless day to day hotel operations and a high level of communication between teams
As part of this opportunity, the successful candidate will also receive cross training within Front Office operations and will be developed as a Front Office Duty Manager.
This will provide broader hotel operational exposure and career development opportunities across both Rooms Division and Food & Beverage leadership. The cross training will include guest service management, hotel operations, complaint resolution, VIP arrivals, emergency procedures, and overall hotel duty management responsibilities.
This role would suit an individual looking to further develop their hospitality leadership career within a five-star hotel environment while gaining exposure across multiple operational departments.
The successful candidate must be flexible and available to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising day to day Food & Beverage operations across outlets and events
- Leading, motivating, and developing the Food & Beverage team
- Ensuring exceptional guest service and handling guest feedback professionally
- Supporting restaurant, bar, conferencing, and event operations as required
- Assisting with staff training, onboarding, and performance management
- Managing operational shifts, staffing levels, and labour costs
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, RSA requirements, WHS standards, and food safety procedures
- Monitoring presentation standards, cleanliness, and service delivery
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and inventory management
- Supporting communication between departments to ensure smooth hotel operations
- Driving a positive team culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and guest satisfaction
About you
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within hotels, restaurants, bars, or conferencing operations
- Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and service standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A hands on leadership approach with the ability to lead from the floor
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A passion for customer service and team development
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster
- Current RSA Certificate
- Have legal requirements to live and work unrestricted in Australia
