  • Permanent full time position
  • Working on a rotating rosters across AM, PM and weekends shifts
  • Location – Paris end of Little Collins Street, close to public transport

About the role

As a Porter/Front Office Representative, you will be the first point of contact for your guest.

 

You will play an essential role in creating a memorable first and last impression for our guests.

 

You will be the welcoming face of the hotel, greeting guests on arrival, managing check-ins and check-outs, assisting with luggage and transport arrangements, supporting F&B with room service and other duties during peak periods, collaborating with other departments as required, and sharing local knowledge and recommendations to enhance each guest’s stay.

 

This hands-on and guest-facing role requires a proactive and professional individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

 

You will work closely with the Front Office and Concierge teams to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and personalised experience from check-in to departure.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with luggage and transport
  • Providing a seamless arrival and departure experience
  • Assisting with guest queries in a professional manner and acting as a brand ambassador
  • Logging and following up on guests' requests with the appropriate departments.
  • Directing calls to guest rooms, departments, or key stakeholders of the business.
  • Providing information about hotel services to guests.
  • Creating bookings for guests outside of reservation opening hours
  • Maintaining knowledge of hotel facilities and promotions
  • Providing accurate local information and recommendations
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in lobby and entrance areas 

 

About You

If you are a trustworthy, passionate people person, self-motivated and pleasant mannered, enjoy working as a pivotal part of a team and possess the following, please apply:

  • Experience as a guest services representative in a 5-star environment (highly desirable)
  • Experience with hotel booking systems –preferably Opera (desirable)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • First Aid Trained (desirable)
  • RSA (desirable)
  • Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks
  • A 'can-do' attitude
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Proactive focus and shares a passion for the hospitality industry
  • Well-groomed and professional in appearance
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Displays problem solving skills
  • Commitment with flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to work flexible roster in line with operational requirements (
