Stamford Hotels and Resorts are seeking an experienced and customer focused Reservations Manager to lead our Reservations team and ensure exceptional service delivery across all booking channels.

About the role

As the Reservations Manager, you will oversee the day to day operations of the reservations team, ensuring all enquiries, bookings, and guest interactions are handled efficiently and professionally.

 

You will be responsible for maximising occupancy and revenue through effective yield management, accuracy in reservations processes, and strong collaboration with Sales, Front Office, and other operational departments..

 

Situated in our contact centre located at the Stamford Plaza Adelaide, you’ll serve as the first line of inquiry for room reservations, hotel offerings and brand driver, across both Adelaide properties, Stamford Plaza Adelaide and Stamford Grand Adelaide. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the reservations team, providing ongoing coaching, support, and performance feedback
  • Manage daily reservation operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and excellent guest service
  • Analyse occupancy trends, forecast demand, and support revenue strategies in collaboration with the Sales and Revenue teams
  • Maintain high standards of reservation accuracy, including data entry, billing, and guest profile management
  • Handle complex booking enquiries, group reservations, and VIP requests
  • Drive continuous improvement in procedures, service standards, and team performance
  • Prepare reports and insights to support operational and commercial decisions
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments to ensure seamless guest experiences

 

About you

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service, and a keen understanding of reservation and revenue processes.

 

You will also have:

  • Previous experience in a reservations leadership role (Reservations Manager or Assistant Manager)
  • Strong knowledge of hotel PMS/reservations systems (Opera desirable).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • A customer first mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to lead by example
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Fluent English, verbally & written
  • Experience providing prompt and efficient service including upselling skills is advantageous
  • Availability to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Have the legal requirements to live and work unrestricted in Australia
