We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef's to join our dynamic kitchen team at Stamford Plaza Melbourne.  

 

Stamford Plaza Melbourne is a five-star luxury hotel located at the 'Paris end' of Little Collins Street in the heart of the shopping & theatre district.

  • Permanent full time
  • Rotating shifts (including breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekends)
  • Salary starting from $77,000.00 per annum plus super

About the Role:

As a Chef, you will be responsible for running your own section, maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to our hotel’s reputation for outstanding cuisine.

 

As the Chef. You will be involved with ensuring smooth service for various service: breakfast, room service, banquet and bar.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the hotel’s quality standards
  • Manage and oversee your designated section efficiently
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety practices
  • Assist with menu planning and development
  • Train and support junior kitchen staff when required
  • Ensure stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
  • Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
  • Assist with the control and management of food costs in line with budget and control production and portions in line with agreed specifications.

 

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in a hotel or similar high-volume environment
  • Strong culinary skills and passion for high-quality food
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to teamwork
  • Working rights
