About the Role
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our dedicated maintenance team on a full-time basis.
Perfectly located on the banks of the Brisbane River and just steps from the Botanic Gardens, Stamford Plaza Brisbane is the city’s finest 5-star luxury hotel and the flagship property for Stamford Hotels & Resorts. All 252 guest rooms feature stunning river views, and the hotel boasts eight magnificent function rooms for corporate events, weddings, and special occasions, as well as a variety of vibrant food and beverage outlets.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved systems.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of equipment, including plumbing (e.g., unclog drains), electrical components, cosmetic items, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, and other guestroom items.
- Manage external contractors and provide progress updates.
- Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing daily operations and task allocation.
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, contractors, and suppliers.
- Respond to maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Conduct routine inspections and coordinate preventative maintenance programs.
- Manage maintenance inventory, tools, and procurement requirements.
- Maintain records, logs, and compliance documentation.
- Support facility upgrade and refurbishment projects.
- Ensure all tasks comply with WHS and fire safety standards.
- Build strong relationships with internal departments and deliver proactive service to guests and colleagues.
Skills and Experience
- A warm, friendly, and welcoming personality.

- Previous experience in hotel or facilities maintenance leadership (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of building services and maintenance practices.
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building issues.
- Experience managing contractors and maintenance schedules.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
