The Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport Hotel & Conference Centre is a 5 star hotel with 315 accommodation rooms, located at the entrance to the Sydney airport and home to the biggest conference centre at the precinct. Also on site is La Boca Restaurant & Bar, our vibrant and authentic Argentinean Grill, and a 24 hour Room Service. We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Manager who brings in a unique personality and has the drive and passion to lead our Food & Beverage Team.
The Role
- Overall management of our Restaurant, Bar and Room Service operations, maximising profitability whilst maintaining exceptional standards of quality and service
- Being a Leader and role model to our F&B Team in providing exceptional guest service whilst up-skilling and developing each team member specifically around product knowledge and service standards
- Establishing and maintaining an enthusiastic and energised atmosphere in our Argentinean Restaurant
- Works closely with the Executive Chef and provides guidance, instruction and advice in respect to matters
concerning the food and beverage department. - Ensuring high attention in Administration, F&B system usage, Payroll Controls, Order & Roster Management.
- Identifying growth opportunities and successfully implementing them
- Building organisational capability through the management and development of a cohesive, motivated team who are engaged in our vision
- Collaborating with other department heads, staying up-to-date with industry trends and assist with marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers and increase value of existing ones
- Maintain health and safety and food handling standards in outlets
What are we looking for?
- An enthusiastic, experienced and vibrant individual with great personality and passion for our product
- A strong leader who is looking for the opportunity to grow and develop their Food & Beverage Management Career
- Interest in learning or knowledge of Argentinean culture and cuisine, and a sound understanding of the operation of a Bar & Grill Venue
- Hands on management of day to day F&B operations
- Passion, innovation and determination to sustain and increase profits
- Must be proficient in Micros and hold a current NSW RSA
