Job Overview
To lead strategic initiatives that shape the hotel’s growth and operational excellence. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the role drives cross-departmental projects, streamlines processes, and ensures effective collaboration between stakeholders. It involves direct involvement in executive decision-making and offers hands-on exposure to all areas of hotel leadership.
Responsibilities
1) Strategic Project Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Lead and support strategic projects to enhance operational performance and identify new revenue streams.
- Develop and implement tailored sales and revenue strategies to drive commercial growth in the local market.
- Support ad hoc initiatives and confidential assignments as directed by the VP of Operations.
2) Project Management & Execution
- Coordinate timelines, resources, and deliverables for strategic and operational projects.
- Conduct data-driven research and benchmarking to inform executive decisions.
- Align project outcomes with overall business objectives.
3) Research, Analysis & Benchmarking
- Evaluate existing operational practices and performance metrics.
- Implement initiatives to optimise efficiency and quality of service.
- Partner with Heads of Department to drive continuous improvement
4) Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assume leadership of hotel operations in the General Manager’s absence.
5) Sales, Revenue & Confidential Assignments
- Develop and implement tailored sales and revenue strategies to drive commercial growth.
- Support ad hoc initiatives and confidential assignments as directed by the VP of Operations.
- Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certifications in Revenue Management are advantageous.
- Additional training in Leadership, Operations, or Strategic Management will be a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in upscale or luxury hotels.
- Proven track record of leading strategic projects and driving measurable business growth.
