We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Venue Manager to lead the daily operations of our Promenade restaurant and deliver memorable dining experiences for every guest.

About the role
As the Venue Manager, you will oversee the front of house operations, drive service standards, and lead a passionate team to deliver outstanding guest experiences. You’ll be responsible for managing staff performance, ensuring financial targets are met, and maintaining compliance with all food safety and service standards.

Core Responsibilities
In this hands on leadership role, you will be responsible for the overall management and success of Promenade’s restaurant. Your key focus will be on delivering an exceptional guest dining experience, driving team performance, and ensuring operational excellence. A strong understanding of food and beverage operations, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example are essential to succeed in this role.
- Lead and manage front-of-house operations to deliver outstanding service at all times
- Supervise, train, and develop restaurant staff, fostering a positive team culture
- Manage staff rosters and labour costs, ensuring efficiency and adequate coverage
- Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to feedback, and resolve any service issues promptly
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team for seamless service and menu execution
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and liquor licensing requirements
- Drive revenue through upselling, special promotions, and guest engagement initiatives
- Monitor budgets, control costs, and report on key performance metrics
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and ambiance of the restaurant in line with hotel standards
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes, and contribute to staff retention and engagement
About You:
You’re a passionate and experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. With a strong background in restaurant or food & beverage management, you lead by example and know how to motivate a team to deliver exceptional service. You’re confident, approachable, and solutions-focused, with a keen eye for detail and a hands-on leadership style.
You’ll also bring:
- Proven experience in a similar Venue/Restaurant Manager or F&B leadership role (hotel experience highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong team and guest relationships
- A solid understanding of food and beverage operations, service standards, and financial performance
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- A proactive approach to training, development, and team engagement
- Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Knowledge of health & safety, food hygiene, and liquor licensing requirements
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
