We are currently seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic Restaurant Manager who brings a unique personality and has the drive and passion to celebrate all that La Boca stands for — bold flavours, exceptional service, and unforgettable hospitality.
The Role
We are looking for a full-time Restaurant Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of La Boca’s front-of-house team. This is a pivotal leadership role that requires operational finesse, people leadership, and a passion for premium guest service. Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per annum + super
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring a high standard of service across all shifts
- Supervise, train, and coordinate front-of-house staff including floor supervisors, waitstaff, hosts, and bar team
- Develop and implement staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with award provisions
- Plan and oversee service delivery, including table layout, guest flow, section allocation, and floor coverage
- Greet VIP guests, respond to service enquiries, and handle any escalated complaints or service recovery issues promptly and professionally
- Conduct pre-shift briefings, assign duties, and lead post-service debriefings to review performance and provide feedback
- Monitor service quality and guest experience metrics to drive continuous improvement and maintain premium standards
- Ensure compliance with RSA obligations, liquor licensing laws, WHS policies, hygiene regulations, and hotel brand standards
- Maintain inventory of FOH service tools and supplies, and ensure operational readiness for each shift
- Work closely with the Executive Chef, Hotel F&B leadership, and Events team to coordinate menus, functions, and special promotions
- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of front-of-house staff
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities as required by the Hotel F&B Manager
Key Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a senior restaurant management or food and beverage operations role within a premium or high-volume dining environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a diverse FOH team, including performance management, mentoring, and training of junior staff
- Proven experience in coordinating service delivery, including rostering, shift planning, guest flow, and managing service recovery
- Strong knowledge of hospitality compliance requirements, including WHS, RSA, food safety, and liquor licensing obligations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage guest relations, staff dynamics, and operational pressures effectively
- Familiarity with Latin-American or Argentinian cuisine and service culture is desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and event service periods
- Formal qualifications in hospitality management, business, or related fields will be highly regarded
