About the role

You are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the reservations team to ensure prompt, courteous, and accurate handling of all room reservations. This role plays a key part in maximizing room occupancy and revenue through effective management of inventory, rates, and team performance.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills, along with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.

 

Situated in our contact centre located at the Stamford Plaza Adelaide, you’ll serve as the first line of inquiry for room reservations, Hotel offerings and Brand driver, across both Adelaide properties, Stamford Plaza Adelaide and Stamford Grand Adelaide. 

 

Core requirements of your role

  • Supervise and support the reservations team, ensuring high levels of customer service and efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage daily reservation activities including individual, group, and corporate bookings.
  • Ensure all bookings are accurately recorded in the PMS and CRM systems.
  • Work closely with the Revenue and Sales teams to monitor availability, rate strategy, and booking trends.
  • Handle escalated reservation queries or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Train and develop team members, ensuring they follow company standards and procedures.
  • Assist with reporting on occupancy, booking pace, and other key reservation metrics.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room rates, packages, promotions, and market trends.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth communication regarding special requests, VIP bookings, or group arrangements.

 

About you

  • Minimum of 2 years proven experience in hotel reservations or front office operations, with supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (Opera desirable).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluent English, verbally & written
  • Experience providing prompt and efficient service including upselling skills is advantageous
