About the Role:

A prestigious 250-room, 5-star hotel is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including substantial banqueting, restaurant, and bar services, ensuring that guests receive extraordinary experiences in alignment with luxury service standards. A key role element includes working closely with the owners and driving shareholder returns.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

1) Operations Management

  • Oversee all hotel functions, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
  • Ensure housekeeping maintains exceptional cleanliness and aesthetic standards.
  • Work closely with department heads to enhance hotel efficiency and guest satisfaction.

2) Food & Beverage Oversight

  • Manage the hotel’s restaurant and bar, ensuring top-quality food and beverage service.
  • Strategically develop and introduce innovative culinary experiences.
  • Oversee large-scale banquet operations, ensuring seamless event execution.

3) Financial Performance

  • Develop, monitor, and manage budgets, financial plans, and expenditures.
  • Analyze monthly financial reports to drive profitability and cost control.
  • Implement revenue-boosting and cost-saving strategies to maximize shareholder returns.
  • Collaborate with the Group Revenue Director to optimize market positioning and yield.

4) Owner and Shareholder Relations

  • Maintain open communication and a strong relationship with the hotel owner.
  • Provide regular performance updates and strategic insights to enhance shareholder value.
  • Focus on long-term strategies to drive financial growth and business success.

5) Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a diverse team across all levels.
  • Implement training and development programs to enhance staff skills and service excellence.
  • Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work culture.

6) Guest Experience

  • Ensure exceptional guest service, promptly addressing all guest needs.
  • Actively gather and respond to guest feedback to enhance service quality.
  • Maintain a GSI score of 65% or higher on Revenate ratings.

7) Marketing and Sales

  • Work with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for increasing hotel and banquet bookings.
  • Strengthen brand visibility and establish a strong market presence.
  • Personally lead sales missions and build relationships with key clients.

8) Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Oversee security measures to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years in a luxury 5-star environment.
  • Proven experience in managing large banqueting and high-volume food and beverage operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial management and strategic planning.
