About the Role
Stamford Plaza Brisbane is currently seeking a full time Front Office Assistant Manager/ Front Office Duty Manager to join our Front Office Department.
This role will suit a hospitality-driven professional that possesses the initiative and ambition to lead a dynamic team. It will be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Front Office Team Leader or Supervisor in a 5-star environment wanting to step up to the next challenge.

As an Assistant Manager, you will report to the Front Office Manager and the Hotel Manager, and your duties will include:
- Through effective supervision and coaching, ensure all services offered by the Front Office Team are carried out with the utmost efficiency and to the standards set by the Group.
- Assist the Front Office Manager in conducting departmental training sessions.
- Hold daily department briefings.
- Participate actively towards reducing guest dissatisfaction, and the preparation and execution of action plans.
- Coordinate security, emergency evacuation procedures and deal with any issues as they arise.
- Be responsible for Workplace Health and Safety reporting, documentation, and communication of all accidents within the Hotel.
- Actively upsell and encourage upselling within the Front Office Team.
- Empower the Front Office Team, within clearly defined parameters, to do anything to make the guests' stay more comfortable and beyond expectation.
- Continuously strive to improve departmental operations and increase the standards of service provided to all external and internal guests.
About You
Previous experience working within the hospitality environment and you will have the ability to communicate with all levels of our diverse workforce and senior management, in addition to:
- A strong team player who leads by example.
- Ability to work efficiently & produce quality results
- Enjoy meeting targets, working to high customer service standards.
- Available to work shifts over a 7-day roster; including late finishes, weekends and public holidays.
- You must hold a current QLD RSA
- Possession of a current RMLV certification - highly regarded, but not essential
- A commitment to highest levels of customer service (with a genuine smile)
- Take pride in personal appearance & presentation
- Experience with Micros POS highly desirable
- You will be motivated with a positive and exuberant personality and most importantly - love to have fun
