Stamford Plaza Melbourne is a five-star luxury hotel located at the 'Paris end' of Little Collins Street in the heart of the shopping & theatre district and we are now seeking a Hotel Accountant to join their Finance team. 

 

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Hotel Accountant with working knowledge of accounting procedures including month end closing, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.

 

Reporting to the hotel Financial Controller, you will be an essential member of the Finance team.

 

About you

Our ideal candidate will;

  • Holds a degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably CPA/CA qualified.
  • Proficiency in Opera and previous experience with Sun Systems accounting platform is preferable.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, possessing a high attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills, highly organised and able to manage priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Authentic interpersonal and communication skills and have a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Previous working experience in hospitality is essential.
