Handyperson

Stamford Plaza Melbourne has an exciting opportunity available for a passionate handyperson on a part time bases. 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Responsible for completing painting tasks as directed by Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer.
• Work with other maintenance staff to complete general maintenance and painting tasks from the log in Opera.
• Ensure at all times, jobs are completed with minimum disturbance to guests & patrons of the hotel.
• Efficiently completing tasks within agreed timeframes
• Any other duties as requested by the Assistant Chief Engineer or Chief Engineer.
• Completing other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Chief Engineer
• Completing all tasks within health and safety guidelines for staff and guests

The ideal candidate will be: 

• Trade qualification preferred but not essential
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities with a flexible & adaptable approach
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• An eye for detail and takes care and pride in their work
• Good customer service skills
• Shares a passion for the hotel and hospitality industry
