About the role

Stamford Grand Adelaide is seeking an efficient, capable and hardworking Stewarding Supervisor to join our kitchen department, who will be responsible for maintaining and co-ordinating cleanliness and order. You will take charge of training and developing the Stewarding Team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of operations within our kitchens. This position is available on a full-time basis.

Core requirements of your role

This is an important role to ensure operational efficiency within our kitchens, alongside our Food and Beverage outlets. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Successfully leading and managing the stewarding team
• Preparing rosters according to operational needs and budgets
• Ensuring adequate levels of required items, such as crockery, glassware and cutlery, in all outlets
• Training of the stewarding team on correct machine operations, chemical identification and usage and hazard identification
• Implementing and monitoring cleaning schedules
• Conduct risk assessments and report any hazards and incidents
• Assist the stewarding team with daily cleaning and dishwashing
• Follow all safety guidelines and understand HACCP procedures

• Previous experience using a commercial dishwasher is advantageous and general knowledge of catering equipment
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Sound understanding of kitchen hygiene practices and standards, HACCP
• Flexibility around roster hours requirements
• Full working rights in Australia
• Must hold an Australian driver's licence
