Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport is a 316-room, 5-star Hotel located in Mascot, near the Sydney domestic airport. It is home to our very own La Boca Restaurant and Bar specializing in Argentinean cuisine and 11 Function rooms - ideal for a wide range of events from small meetings to 300 plus large conferences.

The Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate Food & Beverage Operations Manager to join our dynamic F&B team at Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport.

This role will be reporting to the Executive Assistant Manager and is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor or Assistant Manager to take the next step and work collaboratively with the wider hotel team in an exciting, varied role.  

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Overall management of our La Boca Restaurant & Bar and Room Service operations
  • Day-to-day banquet operations, acting as liaison to the kitchen team, events planning and sales staff members
  • Hands-on running of the outlets whilst driving guest centric service culture in the team
  • Lead, train and develop front of house Food & Beverage team whilst empowering staff to deliver exceptional guest experience
  • Administration of roster management and cost control
  • Maintain health and safety and food handling standards in outlets
  • Ensure that strategies are in place to allow efficient and effective department staffing and to achieve service quality and financial targets
  • Strive to create memorable moments with our guests and team members
  • Have a "can do" attitude and consistently strive to exceed client expectations         

What are we looking for?

  • Hands-on leadership style
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume C&E operations
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring and leading a team of restaurant, banquets and bar staff
  • Thrives under pressure and is well organized
  • Has guest centric outlook and a creative mindset to ensuring our guests are well looked after
  • Is flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Knowledge of POS system
  • Experience in a 4 to 5-star Hotel or similar environment
  • A current RSA and full working rights are essential
