Stamford Hotels and Resorts is looking for a highly dynamic, street-smart and savvy hotelier to join us as Vice President, Operations for all of our properties. We welcome experienced and seasoned candidates to apply.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
- Review marketing innovations, strategies and plans to obtain the most effective reach for our specific target audience for Rooms and F&B
- Work with and through the General Managers (GM) to execute practical marketing programs for the hotels
- Review the overall guest satisfaction level in the hotels, and identify areas of intervention for quick-wins and for long-term benefits
- Review and monitor proposals from hotels.
- Challenge/Drive revenue strategies and ensure the hotels deliver their ROI based on the investment plans
- Review the hotel products and offerings to ensure consistency with brand standards and determine the strategy to improve these operations and improve financial performance
- Regularly review the viability of the current structure, manning and management of the hotels and propose alternatives to improve the overall performance of the hotels under the Group
- Drive approved changes, corporate projects and initiatives for the hotels
- Ensure the hotels are in compliance with company policies, procedures , and all applicable external laws, regulations, standards and industry codes with emphasis on health and liquor compliance
- Ensure the smooth running of the operation under your control
- Assist and drive the hotels under your charge to achieve the annual budget
- Responsible for engaging and developing critical hotel personnel
- Implementation and adherence of compliance requirements into day-to-day operations
- Responsible for completing operational audits of the hotels and provide audit findings with recommendations to management
- Review the competencies and effectiveness of hotel general managers; train, develop and guide the hotel management teams to be fluent in their understanding of hotel operations
- Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned by Senior Management
About you
To succeed in this role, you may be required to run the hotel besides Vice President Operations responsibilities and to do a regular physical inspection of hotels because you adopt a hands-on management style and are detail-oriented.
You are motivated, relentless in seeking revenue opportunities and maximizing yield for the hotels, both in Rooms and F&B. You may also be required to coach, mentor and cover all GM responsibilities as a relief manager in the absence of a hotel GM.
Effectively connecting with business clients and partners, guests, management team and staff members at all levels is an innate ability you possess. You constantly strive to create memorable experiences and mediate high-level disputes between customers and employees, support a positive work environment, challenge the status quo and inspire your staff to do the same.
