Stamford Plaza, Brisbane's finest five-star Hotel, is searching for a top performing Assistant Financial Controller to join the Finance Team. We require a qualified professional to provide financial expertise throughout the Hotel’s operations to enable the successful delivery of service excellence whilst maximising return on investment to the owners. About the role:

We are looking for a someone who will hit the ground running to oversee the day-to-day financial management of the Hotel. This is a hands-on role processing hotel accounts as well as supervising the quality of work performed by accounts payable and receivable, hotel accounts, the purchasing department and information technology. The ability to quickly adapt into the role is essential in order to keep the department operating at its optimum.

 

 Essentials required:

  • A minimum of five years in a similar role
  • All-rounder handling all the aspects of General Ledger reports and process financial transactions.
  • Monthly Bank and General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Experience working with external stakeholders such as the ATO and banks.
  • Accounting degree and CPA qualified
  • Proficient with SUN Systems, Opera, Excel and Word
  • Proficiency with rostering, payroll and purchasing systems (Zambion, Check EAM and DocMX preferred).
  • Responsibility of completing fortnightly payroll and EOM close.
  • Provide assistance to the Financial Controller and support all positions of the Finance department as needed.

  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritize duties.
  • Excellent communication skills with guests, management and team members
