The Role:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Demi Chef to cover our breakfast shifts at our 2 Sydney Hotels, Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport and Sir Stamford at Circular Quay. The successful candidates will be responsible for the daily high quality and consistent production of breakfast for our in-house guests.

Key responsibilities and tasks consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and cooking food for guests following the Hotel’s standards;
  • Delivering the daily operational duties of the kitchen;
  • Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stations;
  • Conducting spot checks and recommended actions for the HACCP & Hygiene requirements across all Kitchens;
  • Performing handover at the beginning and end of each shift and ensuring outstanding tasks are handed over to the following shift. 

The successful candidate must have:

  • Completed Commercial Cookery Certificate 4 or equivalent;
  • Experience as Breakfast Chef is prefer but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A positive 'Can do" attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn;
  • The flexibility to work in early shifts, including during the weekends;
  • A solid understanding of WHS Procedures, food safety standards and HACCP;
  • Experience working within a hotel kitchen is desirable but not essential;
  • Fully Covid vaccinated
