About the role

As our Human Resources Manager, you will be highly proficient and proactive in providing Human Resources advice and coaching to our team of managers across all stages of the employee life cycle. This role will offer you the opportunity to provide support to managers where you will have a responsibility of managing recruitment, retention, actively coaching through performance management, workplace investigations and providing guidance on all people related matters. You will have the opportunity to relocate to any state in Australia and New Zealand to work in the hotel within the Group. 

 

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing all functions of the Human Resources department
  • Championing all aspects of the Stamford Hotels and Resorts values while creating a culture that showcases the Stamford Way.
  • Managing the employee’s life cycle and supporting end to end Human Resources activities. 
  • Establishing and conducting onboarding orientation and training programs.
  • Coaching and advising managers on employee relations matters, including complaint management and disciplinary matters.
  • Managing and ensuring compliance practices in accordance with legislation requirements, company policies and procedures.
  • Promoting a health and safety culture while ensuring compliance to current Health and Safety legislation.

 

About you:

  • Human Resources qualification with relevant experience in a similar HR role.
  • Good understanding of employment legislation and HR trends.
  • Possesses organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your tasks and effectively manage your workload as well as hands-on to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive and can-do attitude.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
