About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated Accountant, who has strong analytical and numerate skills, working for Corporate Head Office (CHO) in Mascot, Sydney. The role is to liaise with ATO and authorities to ensure all statutory compliance and deadlines are met, assist with external and internal audits, and plays as a key function between Singapore Head Office and Hotels in the process of financial reporting, recharging and group payments.
Key responsibilities
- Timely submission of monthly financial reports to the management.
- Daily/weekly/monthly consolidation of hotels information.
- Reconciliation of intercompany accounts, group vendors statement of accounts, bank reconciliation
- Consolidate all group cost and on-charging to hotels
- Tax filing of group of companies
- Process CHO payroll
- Update and manage group contract register
- Creation of suppliers’ code and GL code in accounting system
- Ensure accurate and timely compliance of month end procedures
- Maintain fixed asset register; including CERs, movement and transfer of assets and annual audit of assets
- Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement
- Assist in year-end audit and internal audit process
- Verify recorded transactions and report irregularities to management
- Ensure compliance with group policies and procedures, external laws, regulations, standards and industry codes and conformance to accounting standards and procedural standards
- Ensure requirements for returns and payment of group tax, payroll tax, FBT, GST and other statutory payments are met
The ideal candidate must have
- Bachelor degree in Finance/ Graduate in Accounting or equivalent
- 3-5 years of work experience in a similar capacity
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Knowledge in using Opera PMS, SUN Accounting System and other accounting software is an advantage
