About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Business Development Manager to complement our sales teams and drive MICE Business. In this role, you will report and work closely with the Director of Sales to grow the MICE segments and contribute towards growth within the company. Strong communication and relationship building skills are essential for success in this role. This is both a strategic and hands on role and requires interstate travel.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Achieve targeted financial goals
  • Relationship building with key clients and developing new clients
  • Maintain existing relationships and accounts
  • Sourcing new business
  • Preparing and following up on quotes, proposals and contracts
  • Conduct interstate sales trips as agreed with the DOS
  • Conduct site inspections
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives to support business objectives

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 3 years successful experience in a 4 or 5 star CBD hotel in a BDM Role
  • Experience of interstate travel
  • A proven sales success within the industry
  • Be well presented, confident and professional in your approach  
  • Understand and support revenue management principles
  • Have a strong understanding of industry trends and ability to adapt readily
