We are seeking a dynamic revenue strategist to join our leadership team at Stamford Plaza Melbourne in the role of Revenue Manager.

The Group operates seven hotels in the 4.5 and 5 star market segments, with a unique portfolio of landmark premium and luxury hotels in key geographic locations – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Auckland

As the Revenue Manager of Stamford Plaza Melbourne, you will  have full responsibility for our Revenue and in-house Reservations Departments, ensuring the desired revenue levels and targets are achieved whilst maximising revenue opportunities through focussed yield management practices and strategies. As part of this role, you will also be required to provide reports on market intelligence, business climate, economic and occupancy trends and buying patterns. This is truly an exciting opportunity for an experienced Revenue Manager to join a luxury five star hotel environment in Melbourne.  

As the Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following to the highest standards:

  • Managing occupancy, revenue and yield in line with company procedures
  • Updating allocations, allotments and rates on third party websites, GDS, hotel website and manage the channel management system
  • Optimizing RevPAR by analyzing/forecasting demand and establishing effective selling strategies and ensuring strong market mix
  • Conducting ongoing competitor price and product analyses to ensure proper rate positioning and product offering relative to competition
  • Overseeing the Reservations department (FIT and Group reservations)
  • Completing various reports and analyse the data and recommend solutions to improve revenue
  • Work in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing team on maximising all revenue opportunities
  • Assess, manage and analyse pricing strategies and Identify new revenue opportunities

Stamford Plaza Melbourne are looking for a person who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Hotel Management (highly desirable)
  • Five years hotel leadership experience to guide the Revenue and Reservations team with three years in a comparable revenue management role
  • Forecasting and reporting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work to targets and budgets
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Hotel Reservations and Revenue Management System (preferably Opera and Siteminder)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, business acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Proactive and an ability to use initiative
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Shares a passion for the hospitality industry
