Stamford Plaza Melbourne is a five star luxury hotel located at the 'Paris end' of Little Collins Street in the heart of the shopping & theatre district. We are now seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Full Time Reservations Manager to join our award winning team. This position reports to the Hotel Manager.

The successful person will be responsible for:

  • Driving revenue by implementing pro-active up-selling initiatives
  • Motivating, coaching and leading a team of four reservation consultants
  • Completing daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Addressing customer feedback and special needs requests
  • Oversee the effective management of group blocks
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure a seamless sales and operations process
  • Loading contracted rates into PMS and CRS systems in a timely and accurate manner
  • Effectively managing travel agent allotments
  • Controlling commission payments and credit limits

 Stamford Plaza Melbourne are looking for a person who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Hotel Management (highly desirable)
  • Gained similar experience in a 4 or 5 star high (highly desirable)
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Hotel Reservations System (preferably Opera)
  • Experience leading a team of reservations consultants
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to convert enquiries to bookings
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a face paced environment
  • Proactive and an ability to use initiative
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Shares a passion for the hospitality industry
