About the Role

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, experienced and professional HR Business Partner to join our Management Team. As the HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for the super efficient organisation and coordination of all aspects of the Human Resources Department. You will report directly to the General Manager of the Hotel and, functionally, the Human Resources Director in Singapore Head Office.

You will have an exceptional eye for detail, learn information quickly and demonstrate efficient and effective time management. Your confidence will be a reflection of your high level of communication – verbal, written and listening, and your excellent personal presentation. You will be empathetic when dealing with emotional situations and always have an approachable, friendly and helpful manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Manage compensation, payroll, rewards/benefits program, as well as worker compensation claims
  • Assess training needs and develop, facilitate and monitor training programs accordingly
  • Being an integral part of the leadership group of the hotel
  • Develop/maintain a proactive service culture
  • Ensure compliance on OHS, WC and IR related matters

Skills and Experience required

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources / Business Management (essential)
  • At least 2 years experience as an HR Advisor, preferably in the hospitality or service industry (highly desirable)
  • Thorough understanding of the relevant industry award, national employment standards and enterprise agreement
  • Experience with HRIS systems preferably Kronos & ConnX
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian labor law
